Series Reading Order
Answered For
One couple. Three books. A house that has never let anyone stay.
A three-story Victorian at the end of a quarter mile of dark gravel outside Savannah. A man who signed its deed in 1882 and never left. An architect with her own money in the roof and no intention of being the fifteenth person run off the property.
What order should I read Answered For in?
Strictly 1 → 3. Unlike Magnolia Creek, this is not a set of standalones. It is one couple across three books, and it will not make sense out of order.
Book 1 is a complete, earned happily-ever-after, with no bittersweet ending and no bait and switch. It is also the first third of one continuous story. Book 2 ends on a cliffhanger.
“Answered For” is one couple across three books: the renovation that put them in the same rooms, the woman whose name he would not say, and everything the people on this ground have refused to explain to each other.

The House That Kept Him
He spent a hundred and thirty-nine years running people out of his house. Then one of them answered him.
The house at the end of a dark gravel road outside Savannah has never let anyone stay. Not once in a hundred and thirty-nine years. Until Nora Beaumont.
Her six years in Atlanta ended in one week she doesn’t discuss. Her father offers her the house, and she is in no shape to turn down a roof. She arrives with a set of architectural drawings and the last of her savings.
Lights die. Doors shut. Rooms turn January-cold without explanation. You should not be here, something says, directly into her thoughts.
She answers it. “Then you should have locked the door.”
Some ghosts don’t want to be forgotten. They want to be loved.
